How to Make a Gold Rush Cocktail

While the Gold Rush cocktail is commonly assumed to be a pre-Prohibition classic, this riff on the Whiskey Sour emerged at a time post-Prohibition — when bartenders began to experiment by tweaking the classics. With honey in place of sugar, this pared-down version that requires just three ingredients transforms the cocktail’s flavour and mouthfeel. Grab some bourbon, honey, and lemon juice, and get stuck in!
